At 1:20 Wednesday morning, November 9, Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump appeared to be poised on the brink of a stunning American political upset, taking a commanding lead in Electoral College votes over Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Ms. Clinton defeated Mr. Trump in the popular vote in Sandwich 5,958 - 5,836, a difference of 122 votes.
