Sandwich residents suffered wide-spread power outages on Sunday afternoon, February 19, after a transformer fire broke out at the switching yard at Quaker Meeting House Road and Kiahs Way at 3 PM. NSTAR re-routed the power to restore electricity to as many customers as possible, and isolated the fire.
