A number of Upper Cape stormwater, fish passage and other coastal restoration projects will receive funding under a substantial federal grant announced Wednesday, October 4. The US Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service announced the approval of an application for funding priority restoration projects on Cape Cod. "Water quality is a major concern on Cape Cod, particularly its effect on salt marshes, shellfish beds and herring runs," said Christine Clarke, NRCS state conservationist for Massachusetts.
