American Legion Post 188 members George Pontes, Post Commander Ray Tourville and Post 188 spokesman Carl Johansen appeal to town boards for permission to place a Vietnam memorial in downtown Sandwich. The community preservation committee voted unanimously this week to give a $15,000 community grant for the placement of a Vietnam War memorial in a grassy square near Sandwich Town Hall.
