A nine-year-old child riding a scooter on Old Fields Road in Sandwich was struck by a car at 1:29 PM on Sunday, June 19. The child was transported by ambulance to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Rhode Island. The incident is under investigation by the Sandwich Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
