It affords us pleasure to state that immediate measures will be taken to petition the Legislature for the extension of the Cape Cod Branch Rail Road from Sandwich to Barnstable and Yarmouth Port. Already subscription papers are open for the purpose of raising money, to cause a survey of the Road and the building the same - both of which, we have reason to believe, will be subscribed to liberally by our citizens.
