Traffic on the Sagamore Bridge in Bourne has been restricted to one lane in each direction since scheduled repair work began on Monday, April 2. The lane restrictions have caused predicted traffic delays for drivers going on- or off-Cape, many of whom believe the Sagamore Bridge is in the Town of Sandwich. As a result, Sandwich police and fire dispatchers have been receiving calls from travelers looking for information about bridge delays before they get onto Route 6. "The Sagamore Bridge is in Bourne," a Sandwich fire official said.
