Deborah Rudolf, a lawyer from Plymouth, is challenging state Senator Viriato deMacedo for his seat on Beacon Hill. Ms. Rudolf, a Democrat with a history of engagement in progressive causes, will take on Mr. deMacedo, who served for 16 years as a state representative and is now seeking a third term in the state Senate.
