Town Meeting back in May narrowly nixed a $1.1 million request for Community Preservation Act funds to fix up the old building and turn it back into usable community space. But this week, a group that included members of the Sandwich Arts Alliance, the Sandwich Historical Commission, the Sandwich Finance Committee, as well as neighbors of the property met informally at the Sandwich Public Library to discuss the idea of possibly bringing the project back to voters with a smaller price tag.
