Three helicopters have been helping to fight the ongoing brush fire at Joint Base Cape Cod on Saturday, July 23. The State Police Air Wing has been using its 120-gallon- capacity Bambi Bucket to help douse hot spots and the National Guard's two Blackhawk helicopters have been engaged in the primary firefighting with their 600-gallon Bambi Buckets, according to a press release from the state police. Water drops were halted for the evening at dusk and will resume Sunday morning, July 24, at 8 AM and continue until the fire is out.
